PARIS HOTLIST

Dan Graham.

He is one of the most important American artists and the Musée d'art moderne de la ville de Paris is presenting the first retrospective of this exciting artist's work. It covers a huge production since the 1960's. Graham has influenced architects like Rem Koolhass, has done video, sculptures, installations. Not to be missed.

Ends October 14. Musée d'art moderne. 11, ave du Pdt Wilson. 75016. Mo Iéna, Alma-Marceau. 01 53 67 40 00. Daily 10am-5:30pm. Mon. closed.

Mimran, "Babel Tv".

This is perhaps the most original show of the "rentrée". The work of this artist, in the elegant setting of the jardin de Bagatelle, evokes Beckett or Breughel. His 10 feet high tower of Babel is one of the strongest pieces he has produced so far. Good taste and bad taste live side by side in Mimran's work.

Parc de Bagatelle. Route de Sèvres. Bois de Boulogne. Until Oct.15. Daily except Tues., 11am-6pm

L'or des rois scythes.

The Scythes terrorized the Greeks and the Persians in the 9th and 8th centuries BC. They also loved gold, wore tattoos, were shamans and warriors. The national museums of Ukraine have lent the treasures unearthed since the 18th century for this marvelous exhibition.

Grand Palais. 3, ave du Gal Eisenhower. 75008. 01 44 13 17 17. Mo Champs Elysées-Clémenceau. Daily 10am-8pm. Tues. closed

En Quête de Beauté.

Hermès, the luxury leathergoods brand occasionally presents little exhibitions in its store. This year's installation, on the second floor of the store, is a search for the meaning of beauty. After taking some headsets, one pushes a door and finds oneself in an enchanting world imagined by decorator Hilton McConnico. You travel through time and space, find yourself in a kitchen full of magic drawers as well as in the North Pole, surrounded by penguins. Enchanting.

Until October 27. 24, Faubourg Saint HonorŽ. Mon-Sat, 10:30am-12:30pm and 2:30pm-6pm.

La Table d'Oliviers & Co.

In this lovely restaurant, you'll share your table with strangers and everything you'll eat will be seasoned or cooked with olive oil. The food is good and cheap. If you chose "La Méridiane Salée" (90F), allows you to choose three dishes in the menu: cold melon soup with tarragon, zucchini, mushroom "ravioles". The desserts are very good. It is not haute cuisine but a nice neighborhood café.

8, rue Levis. 75017. Mo Villiers. 01 53 42 18 04

Marc Perrone.

Perrone is one of the most exciting accordion players of his generation. To call him an accordion player is a little bit like saying Mozart was a piano player. Until October 20, he has taken over the 'Théâtre des Déchargeurs' and presents something different every evening. He can accompany Renoir's film "Tir au Flanc" one evening or have some of his musician friends on stage with him. You can go with your eyes wide shut.

Théâtre des Déchargeurs. 3, rue des DŽchargeurs. 75001. 01 42 36 00 02. Starts at 10pm.
