Jean Dubuffet. For the centennial of his birth, the Pompidou center is presenting over 400 works of this rebel artist who changed continuously and worked on canvas, but also built enchanting grottos and sculptures. Festival d'Automne à Paris. For the past 29 years since October 1972, the festival has been one of the most exciting and diverse cultural events in the capital. It covers hundreds of events in music, theater, dance, arts and cinema. For instance, French theater star Sami Frey will read the 12 episodes of the conversations between Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir, between August and September 1974. Tokyorama, with Tsuneko Taniuchi. The Palais de Tokyo which will reopen soon as one of the most exciting arts spaces in Paris, is staging completely weird and enchanting evening with a series of artists who take you around the neighborhood to look at it through their eyes. The tour conceived by Tsuneko Taniuchi is not to be missed. It's over at the end of September. Helen Levitt. The Centre National de la Photographie is presenting a huge retrospective of the entire life of the New York photographer since the 1930's. 59 Poincaré. This elegant "hôtel particulier" in the 16th arrondissement is the latest Alain Ducasse project. It has to be seen: the vegetables are presented as if they were Harry Winston jewels.
