- Restaurant
Michel Courtalhac. Alice Waters, the great chef from Berkeley's
Chez Panisse likes to come here. What more can we say? Not flashy but
bankers, students, beautiful women like to come there for lunch or dinner.
Good French cuisine with a little twist from the south.
47, rue de Bourgogne. 7th.Tel: 01 45 55 15 35. Mon-Fri.
- Les
Glénans. One of the city's best fish restaurants. Really
special. 54, rue de Bourgogne. 7th. Tel: 01 45 51 61 09. Open daily
except Sat. and Sun.
- Pradier
Patissier. This place suffers from multiple personality disorder.
At 32, rue de Bourgogne, it is a boulangerie, a great place to get your
baguette and croissants before going on an exploration of Paris. And
at 6, rue de Bourgogne, near the National Assembly, it becomes a tea
salon with good "plats du jours". Excellent desserts.
Tel: 01 45 51 78 36. Open 8-8 5.
- Naila
de Monbrison. Naila has created one of the very special places in
Paris. Her art gallery has a twist: her artists make some of the most
stunning jewels you'll find anywhere. But here it is not the gaudy Cartier
style but rather unique pieces made by great artists. Worth going, even
simply to be dazzled by the beauty rather than by the flashy. 6, rue
de Bourgogne. 7th. Tel: 01 47 05 11 15.
